PhD College Merit Scholarship Student Health

This College Merit Scholarship project is a collaboration with Pieter Medendorp of the Donders Institute of the Radboud University; the neuroimaging experiments will be performed in his lab in Nijmegen.

Part of your work will be to contribute to the Faculty education program for 160 hours in the first and second year of the project.

Requirements

We are looking for a highly motivated and creative candidates with a MSc in (one of) the natural sciences, human movement sciences, mechanical or biomedical engineering, psychology or related discipline. A College Merit Scholarship strong mathematical background and experience in programming (e.g. MatLab) are very welcome as well as excellent writing and presentation skills in English.

Conditions of employment

The College Merit Scholarship initial appointment will be for a period of 18 months. After satisfactory evaluation of the initial appointment it will be extended for a total duration of 4 years. C V Raman International Fellowships College Merit Scholarship

This College Merit Scholarship prestigious award is intended to further strengthen the connection between the Indian and African nations with the scientific and technological cooperation. This award is a follow-up of the new Science & Technology Initiative for African countries at the highest level on the summit of the India-Africa Forum in April 2008 announced.

Target
The College Merit Scholarship goal of the fellowship of CV Raman International is to provide opportunities for African researchers conduct, under the leadership of their hosts in India, joint research with leading research groups in universities and other institutions in the various fields of Indian science and technology.

Types and number of fellowships offered
Each African country will have 8 slots of fellowship totaling approximately 416 fellowships under this programme.
(a) Post Doctoral Fellowship – Duration 6 months. Maximum 2 fellowships of 6 months duration each or one fellowship thereof subject to total 12 man-months.
(b) Visiting fellowship – Duration 3 months. Maximum 3 fellowships

Master College Merit Scholarships at University of Calabria

2011/2012. These grants, consisting in free services by its Residential Centre, include board and lodging during the duration of the course and a intensive course of Italian language and culture (Summer Course)

A first communication concerning a first group of scholarships will be sent by February 28, 2011 to students whose expressions of interest are received by December 31, 2010. A second communication concerning a second group of scholarships will be sent by May 31, 2011 to students whose expressions of interest are received by March 31, 2011. For the second selection obviously the applications of students who sent the application prior to the first deadline (December 31, 2010) will also be considered.

The last communication will be sent, as soon as possible, to the students whose expressions of interest are received within the deadlines decided by Diplomatic representations for the pre-registration procedures. Again the applications sent earlier by students to whom grant has not yet been offered will also be considered in this final selection. All foreign students, including those who will be awarded of the scholarship, must follow the pre-registration and registration procedures required by law.

They will also have to accept the scholarship within 20 days since the communication.

“The Ocean in the Earth System” (MARUM) a the University of Bremen, Germany, aims at unravelling the significance of the oceans within the framework of global change, quantifies interactions between the marine geosphere and biosphere, and provides information for a sustainable use of the ocean. With this announcement, up to two MARUM Fellowship awards are being
offered. We seek enthusiastic and dynamic individuals with a demonstrated record in interdisciplinary marine research. Specific interests of MARUM are directed towards the understanding of (1) the role of the ocean in the climate system using especially paleoclimatological information in combination with Earth-system modeling, (2) geosphere-biosphere interactions, including gas and fluid seepage, life in extreme environments, as well as microbe-mineral interactions, and (3) sediment dynamics, including the stability of ocean margins and sediment-dynamics in coastal and shelf-sea areas (see www.marum.de for further information).
